Morgenthau, Henry, Jr.
(11 may. 1891, Nueva York, N.Y. EE.UU.–6 feb. 1967, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.).

Funcionario público estadounidense. Fue director del American Agriculturist (1922–33) y amigo íntimo de Franklin D. Roosevelt. En su calidad de secretario del tesoro en el gabinete de Roosevelt (1934–45), tuvo la responsabilidad de financiar los programas del New Deal y los enormes gastos militares de la segunda guerra mundial. Más de US$370 mil millones se gastaron en el período, tres veces más que lo que gastaron los 50 secretarios del tesoro anteriores. Cuando murió Roosevelt, renunció y se retiró a su granja.
